It is Black History Month and our students will be participating in black history trivia this week during Homeroom. Other Homeroom activities this week include Khan Academy, grade checks, as well as writing Thank You cards for Counselor Appreciation Week.
Assignment Recovery starts this week. Students who are failing a course and miss an assignment in that course will be assigned a date to attend Assignment Recovery. Assignment Recovery will be with Mr. Belyayev this Monday, Ms. Lopez this Tuesday, Ms. Morando this Thursday, and Mrs. Reese this Friday. In addition to Assignment Recovery, all students who are failing should have received a progress report from their teachers last week. It is important that parents sign these progress reports and have their child return them to their teachers.
The Oiler of the Week last week was Elizabeth Strezo. Teachers vote for Oiler of the Week by nominating students who exemplify our 5 core values (self-discipline, responsibility, self-advocacy, grit, and growth mindset).
Our boys basketball team faces Lowell tomorrow night and Covenant Christian this Saturday for Senior Night. JV starts at 5:30 and Varsity starts at 7 on both nights. We hope to see you there.
