National School Lunch Week
School City of Whiting will celebrate National School Lunch Week from October 12–16, 2026, with special activities and fun menu items throughout the week!
The National School Lunch Program serves nearly 30 million children each school day. Established by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, National School Lunch Week recognizes the role that healthy school meals play in supporting students’ health, learning, and success inside and outside the classroom.
We look forward to celebrating with our students and thanking our food service staff for the meals they prepare each day!
