Good evening! I’ve had a few parents ask about the WMS/WHS post regarding costumes and dress down tomorrow. That is NOT for NH. We will be celebrating next Friday with a whole school dress down day. We do have some classes tomorrow that earned a dress down day for monthly attendance winners. Ms. Washington, Ms. Flores, Mrs. Cook, Ms. Bass, Mrs. Showalter, and Mrs. Yurechko DO have a dress down day tomorrow. We wanted to make sure everyone got to do the dress down as a whole school for the Socktober so that is why ours will be next Friday.
Also, Nathan Hale brought in the most pairs of socks of all three schools, with almost 275 pairs! They earned a special treat that they will also enjoy next week! Thank you to everyone who donated!

Friday, October 3rd is an eLearning Day! Students do NOT come in person and do their learning from home. All teachers will be online from 8-11 live for students to speak to and ask questions. Information has been sent home with how to login and expectations. Check with your child's teacher if you have a question. Your child must answer the attendance question to be counted present.

Monday through Friday of next week we have Kindergarten and 1st Grade Side-by-Sides in the classrooms! Parents can come in for an hour and sit with their child to learn about the standards and expectations for early literacy, make some fun materials and games to play at home, and get a free book! Be sure to check with your child's teacher and RSVP as soon as possible.
October has many field trips happening, including visits to the Whiting Fire Station next week in Prek, kindergarten, and first grades!

You should have received a message a few minutes ago from Mr. Verta regarding an emergency eLearning Day for Thursday, May 15th. I have attached the letter below.
Paint the Town Pink will be held on Friday, May 16th since we will be doing eLearning on the 15th, the regularly scheduled day.
The 4th grade field trip to the Rail Cats game IS still a go for Thursday thanks to the amazing 4th grade team of teachers! We will be reaching out tomorrow to all our fourth grade parents with the details, so look for a dojo message and a call from the school if you are a fourth grade parent.
Additionally, the 5th grade band field trip after school is also still a go.
We appreciate your patience and understanding with the emergency eLearning Day.
