The first day of school is right around the corner! Don't forget that tomorrow, Wednesday, August 11th, is Back to School Night at Nathan Hale from 4:30-6:00! Enter through our main door, door 4, and we will direct you to your child's room. Students and parents can meet the teacher, familiarize themselves with the classroom, and parents can ask any questions and take pictures so the first day of school students can just go right in and be ready to go! This is also a great opportunity for students to bring supplies so they don't have to carry them on the first day of school. ALL visitors MUST wear masks. We hope to see you there! Also, please review the short slideshow on what to expect the first day back at school with important information about drop off and pick up! https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/19t8sOIqrA8iwMqk6tTKOOWbQFZuG6KsHXhUcR5wr2oM/edit?usp=sharing

We are very excited for Field Day tomorrow and looking forward to a day of fun in the sun! It is a dress down day for all students and we encourage them to wear shorts and their favorite team shirt with gym shoes. Students will ONLY be able to participate if they are in gym shoes. Students should bring a regular water bottle (not disposable) with their name on it. We will have water jugs for students to refill their bottles at the field. Also, students can either bring a sack lunch or receive a lunch at school. There will be NO peanut butter and jelly option tomorrow. Students will receive a hot dog, chips, apple slices, and milk if they choose to get a lunch at school. Remote learners will still login to their class in the morning and the teacher will share their schedule with how the day will be broken up. We encourage our remote learners to participate in fun outdoor activities while our in person students are participating in Field Day at school. Also, in the reminders that went home with in person students last week, we stated the last day of school was a regular school day. Monday, June 7th is actually an early release day, so on the last day of school, students will dismiss at 2:00.
